‘Enviropainter’ – Painting Australia Green; Training “Green” Painters

The painting industry, like many others, is currently experiencing a period of monumental change. This change has been driven by the importance of minimising our carbon footprint and in essence limiting the environmental impact from our day to day lives. The world’s need to become more ‘green’ or environmentally friendly has put pressure on a lot of industry’s to refine their processes and products accordingly; the painting industry is no exception.

Following this demand there has been several training programs for painters to learn green tips for practising their day to day jobs with as minimal environmental impact as possible. The premier course for painters is supplied by the Master Painters Association of Australia and is called Enviropainter. This particular training stems from over 100 years of industry experience through the Master Painters Association.

Unfortunately, there has been a few companies claiming to be registered training organisation offering training to become a ‘green’ painter but in reality there is no substance behind the training, leaving unsuspecting painters in the lurch. After completing the Enviropainter course a painter is accredited to call themselves a ‘green’ painter. One such company is the Enviropainter of the year, John Crawford Painting Contractors. He epitomises what it truly means to be a ‘green painter‘.

There really is only one true ‘green’ painters course, Enviropainter! For all painting companies its a must, for all looking for a painter and in particular one that practices green painting processes, ensure they are a Master Painters member and furthermore a Enviropainter…
